This is an exciting period in modern human history. Never before have we had such a large population of aging adults. A "deep well" of knowledge, emotion and experience within our midst. Tapping into that "well" depends to a large extent on the social, cognitive and creative support of younger generations. How can younger generations assist with aging as a time of grace, comfort and contribution? It requires real human connection.
At Alder Garden we want to facilitate that human connection. This should be a multi-generational, community wide effort. We believe that aging adults should be seen, heard and valued beyond a home or a family.
